D&D: ENO STYLE
Did you know Eno has a version of D&D?? Yes! August kicks off a month all about…
Diagnostics & DNA testing!
These tools are incredibly important for the health of your fur baby.
Diagnostics is one of the strongest tools we have to help your pets. Lab work, ultrasound, radiology: This is how we see inside and determine true health and wellness.
Lab work can actually encapsulate so much. Full panels to check internal organs, electrolytes, sugars, blood cells, and much more. Urinalysis to find infections. Parasite screening to catch icky worms.
DNA testing is super cool! We love to find out exactly what each pup is genetically made of.
This testing also acts as a powerful tool. It’s a preventative screening that helps us pinpoint potential health issues and chronic conditions associated with certain breeds.
Do you want to take a peek inside your fur baby?

CATS, CATS, CATS!
It’s no secret how much we love cats. (Charles, we’re looking at you!)
August 8 and 22 are important celebrations of our beautiful, mysterious feline friends.
Around here, every day is cat day. On the 8th, let’s take a moment to enjoy International Cat Day! Around the world, there are approximately 350 million domestic cats living in our homes.
Making biscuits on us. Strategically ignoring us. Confounding and beguiling and delighting us! Does it seem to you that cats can tell time?? Yes, it does happen to be breakfast.
The 22nd is an especially important day for vet pros. National Take Your Cat to the Vet Day highlights the importance of routine check-ups for cats.
A CATalyst Council Market Insight Report reported that nearly half of cats in the U.S did not visit a veterinarian in 2024. The reason? Because 66% of kitty pet parents say they only bring their cats to the vet when sick.
One in 3 survey respondents say cats show illness only when it’s severe, which delays necessary care.
Feline fur babies can be silently suffering, and even the most dedicated pet parents don’t realize it.
Cats are masters at hiding symptoms for a long time. Even tiny behavior changes can mean a cat is unwell.
Our vet pros are here to help you catch anything troubling your cat and to provide any treatment your cat needs. A routine exam and lab work will build a baseline of health for your kitty.
We know it can be a struggle for some cats simply to get to the vet. We have tips for that! Fear Free care really starts at home.
- 🐈 Find a carrier your fur baby fits in comfortably. We like ones with removable tops.
- 🐈 Leave your cat carrier around your house, and make it really comfy.
- 🐈 Give praise and treats when your cat goes in the carrier. You can even play with a toy in there!
- 🐈 Practice slowly closing the carrier door, little by little over time. Once your kitty can handle being secured inside the carrier, practice short car rides, like around the block, and gradually build to longer trips.
Please call us at (919) 471-0308 for any info on Fear Free care for cats. Many of our more anxious feline patients do much better for vet visits on calming medications.
Ready to schedule a visit? It’s easy to request online. Your happy team is ready for a happy visit!
WE SEE YOU
International Blind Dog Day, on the 23rd, celebrates the resilience of visually impaired dogs. Bri’s new pup, Yukon, is one such beautiful blind dog.
Being blind doesn’t stop Yukon from being his silly, loving self.
While blind pups may need more care and training, they can live long, happy, fulfilling lives.
We love all unique fur babies just as they are. Rather than being a burden, being visually impaired makes blind pups extra special!
