Dr. Madison Ketchie, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Y’all know just how proud Dr. LeCuyer is to be a Wolfpack alum. She’s joined at Eno by Dr. Madison Ketchie, whom we welcomed to our team in November 2026.
Dr. Ketchie fell in love with the Triangle as an NCSU undergraduate majoring in zoology with a minor in genetics. She always knew she wanted to help animals, just wondered in what way.
An only child born and reared in Charlotte, Dr. Ketchie grew up with dogs and a rotating cast of small exotics: hamsters, frogs, fish, moths. She begged her parents for her own dog when she was nine years old. That’s when Maggie, a clever chocolate Lab, came into her life.
The pup “followed me everywhere,” Dr. Ketchie remembers. “And frequently learned things I didn’t intend to teach her. She was my partner in crime.”
The summer before high school, Dr. Ketchie attended a veterinary medicine camp at NC State. One day she came back from a parasite class: smelly, gross…and absolutely beaming. That was the moment her mother suggested veterinarian as a career.
Dr. Ketchie loves helping people understand their animals and shedding light on their animals’ health. She’s passionate about nurturing the human-animal bond, likes investigating interesting cases, and thrives on helping improve an animal’s quality of life.
During her very first weeks as a veterinarian, Dr. Ketchie saw a miniature Poodle with severe GI distress. Radiographs revealed a pattern she had only learned about in horses.
After consulting a specialist for confirmation, Dr. Ketchie’s diagnostic instinct proved correct: a sand impaction. She directed a course of conservative care–thankfully the issue passed, the pup was healed, and her dog mom promised never to take her to the beach again!
Her favorite quotation is from Albert Einstein: “In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.”
With her volunteer work at a Union County animal shelter and experience at a small animal general practice in Pittsboro, Dr. Ketchie brings sharp expertise, positive energy, and cheerful enthusiasm to Eno Animal Hospital. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, animal behavior, and senior care.
Dr. Ketchie lives in Holly Springs with two silly Pittie mixes, Hank and Artie. She enjoys DnD and video games, painting, crafting, singing, and reading.
Fun fact about Dr. Ketchie: Every spirit animal quiz she has ever taken has given her a different answer! We’re happy and excited to get to the bottom of this mystery.”
