Bookkeeper
Are you thorough, accurate, and good with numbers? Are you responsible, trustworthy, attentive to detail, and good at managing your time?

Your role: to handle all manners of financial reconciliation for the hospital

You will reconcile bills to invoices, reconcile banking and credit card accounts, process payroll and workman’s comp audits, process payroll taxes and quarterly taxes, prepare tax documents for our accountant, and pay bills.

You must keep accurate records of all financial receipts, transactions, and payments. You must know how to use QuickBooks.

This is a part-time, on-site, contract position: Mondays required, other hours flexible.

Groomer

Our spa days are so popular, we’re often booked weeks or even months in advance! Our team needs the perfect part-time groomer three afternoons a week and some Saturdays.

Your role: to help pets through personalized, loving grooming care

You must be skilled in bathing, brushing, blow drying, various shampoo and coat-conditioning treatments, shave-downs, safely removing matted fur and functional haircuts for dogs and cats. You will help educate pet parents on the importance of grooming and must recognize and report any common health issues (ears, skin, and the like) to our medical team.

We believe grooming is an essential part of pet health and can be transformational. We have a private, quiet, cozy grooming suite with lots of natural light and a hydraulic grooming tub and table. We’re all about happy visits in a low-stress environment: gentle handling is a must.

Marketing Assistant

Do you value people and communication, and love to make connections? Are you warm, friendly, and outgoing? We love to educate about best care, plus spread the word about all things Eno!

Your role: to take pictures and videos of Eno pets and team members, draft high-quality content for our website and social media, help organize and run monthly promotions, pitch and execute new projects, and set up and attend events

Marketing is all about telling the Eno story; celebrating Eno pets, pet parents, and the team; and being active in our community. You must be organized, hardworking, diligent, energetic, and empathetic. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. If you’re passionate and eager to learn, no formal marketing experience is required.

Starting pay $13 per hour; pay and hours (part time or full time) negotiable based on interest, experience, and expertise

Client Care Coordinator

You are the welcoming voice and face of Eno! Everyone who calls or walks through our doors, especially in difficult circumstances, deserves our very best.

Your role: to keep our appointment book full and scheduled correctly; manage patient records; communicate between pet parents and the medical team; maintain a smooth flow of patients; and ensure all payments are received and processed properly

As customer service pros, C3s must work well under pressure. You must stay organized, keep thorough and accurate notes, be patient and positive, establish camaraderie, and communicate with kindness. C3s also love promoting Eno, plus spoiling each unique fur baby.

Kennel Assistant

Eno is a home away from home for all boarding pets. Pet parents put their trust in us to do everything right while their beloved fur babies stay with us.

Your role: to ensure all boarding pets get the best care and compassion

Kennel assistants feed, water, walk, monitor, and administer medications to boarding pets. You must do exactly what each pet needs, record all information precisely, and report any issue to the medical team immediately. You will also text pet parents with regular updates and photos.

Kennel assistants ensure each boarding pet gets the right care, such as exams and vaccinations. You will admit and discharge pets, give basic baths and nail trims, assist with certain procedures and treatments, hold pets per Fear Free protocols, and maintain the cleanliness of our hospital.

Starting pay $12 to $13 per hour: negotiable based on experience and expertise

Support Assistant

This position is vital to organization and efficiency, providing essential support so we can help as many pets as possible and provide the best care. A support assistant must be focused, accurate, thorough, proactive, and willing to hop in and help wherever needed.

Your role: to help the medical team optimize visits, especially by decreasing any wait time, and to keep the hospital clean and well-stocked

You’ll clean rooms, kennels, and treatment areas between patients; clean our surgery and dental suites; clean and wrap instruments and surgical packs; intake inventory; stock rooms and treatment areas; draw up vaccines and set up labs as directed by the medical team; check in pets for assistant visits and hold pets per Free Free protocols.

Starting pay $12 per hour: negotiable based on experience and expertise

Veterinary Assistant

This is an integral position helping pets, pet parents, the team, and our veterinarians. Especially as we grow, you must ensure pets and pet parents have a good Eno experience.

Your role: to assist in all manner of expert care, and always go above and beyond to provide the best preventative medicine and treatment for both healthy and sick pets

You’ll create happy visits per Fear Free protocols, educate pet parents on best care and treatment options, and facilitate strong, ethical, kind communication. 

Vet assistants perform lab work, vaccines, various treatments, laser therapy, and radiographs. You’re also responsible for drawing blood, placing IV catheters, performing dental cleanings, assisting with surgery, and monitoring anesthesia and recovery.

If you have some experience and are eager to grow, we actively support a strong desire to learn and build on your skills and knowledge.

Starting pay with little experience $13 per hour, with 1+ year experience $14 to $16 per hour: negotiable based on expertise

Registered Veterinary Technician

An RVT is a highly trained professional who works alongside veterinarians to give each patient the best care.

Your role: to provide all manner of expert care, and always go above and beyond to provide the best preventative medicine and treatment for both healthy and sick pets

In addition to all Vet Assistant duties, an RVT performs diagnostic procedures and administers certain expert treatments. An RVT is specially trained to monitor high-risk patients during and after anesthesia, responding quickly to any danger. You will also help train the medical team in all aspects of best care.

To be credentialed as an RVT in North Carolina, you must have graduated from an accredited program (as designated by the American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities, or AVMA CVTEA), have a passing score on the Veterinary Technician National Exam, and have passed the North Carolina Veterinary Technician State Examination.

Starting pay $18 to $22 per hour: negotiable based on experience and expertise

Director of Medical Services

This is an executive position, with diverse and serious responsibilities. With superior knowledge and skills, the DMS is instrumental in helping us practice the best medicine.

Your role: to train and manage team members in all manner of best care.

You must coordinate, direct, and oversee all patient care and compassion. You will set and maintain the highest standards of care, plus ensure continuity of care. You must ensure the entire medical team is well-trained, cohesive, and efficient, and that team members understand and are compliant with all protocols and checklists.

The DMS needs exceptional communication and organizational skills, both attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture, and the talent to both lead and listen. You must be professional and confident, treat everyone with respect and kindness, be a team player, identify and resolve training and performance issues, help create new protocols and update existing protocols to optimize care and efficiency, work well under pressure, and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

Experience is a must. Essential medical skills include blood draws, IV catheter placement, dental cleanings, treatment administration, and anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery.
